What a great marketing slogan! Nice crude character with heavy glass whittle, indented main panels, and beveled corners that are embossed

Balm of Thousand Flowers, Fetridge & Co., New York - Circa 1845-1855 Crude Pontiled Medicine
This is the NY version (not Baltimore). It has a big open pontil for the size bottle. It's priced down due to a hard-to find hairline in the shoulder.

open pontil, large for the bottle size |
Structural Condition |
The main reason that this isn't ~$175 is because there is a very slight and hard-to-find 3/4" hairline in the shoulder above the Fetridge and New York embossing. No other damage issues. |
Surface Condition |
probably dug and never cleaned because it has overall haze, light swirl etch and spotty wear. But this is one of those that I actually prefer to leave natural because the glowy patina shows off the whittle and embossing - not ugly stain. |
