Check the pics below to see the pontil scar, which has a spear that juts almost an inch from the kick-up bottom. It has wonderful crude glass striations in the main panels.

Circa 1810-1830 Pig Nose Snout Case Gin with Monstrous Open Pontil

Embossing none
Color deep amber-hued olive green
Height 9 5/8"
Top

very crude applied "pig snout" flare top

Base massive open pontil with jutting thick glass

Structural Condition

structurally sound with no chips, cracks, bruises etc. Mentioned for accuracy is a 3/16" potstone in the shoulder with small star lines - very short and stable.

Surface Condition

an uncleaned bottle with overall modest haze and spotty light scratchiness on high points. I wouldn't clean it myself since I like the glowy natural look.
