This is the shorter square-shouldered Ware squat, uncommon, circa 1855. This was in my collection for about 20 years until a recently dug one that is a slight bit nicer. The iron pontil is bold on a kickup base with iron residue specks. It has an applied double taper top. Uncommon, seen less than the chunky lager or pony blob soda.
Embossed: E. C. WARE / PHILAD.A.
Height: 6 7/8"
Color: deep teal green
Condition: structurally perfect with no chips, cracks, dings, and a nice collar. This is a dug bottle in its natural state. It hasn't been cleaned and so it has patchy stain and spotty wear that would polish up if desired.
