Headless Circa 1850-1855 Pontiled Slug Plate Squat - P. DIVINE, Philadelphia
I dug this in the 1990's and it was in my collection until I finally got a whole one. This is not the more common "Bottler" version Divine. This variant is very scarce. Iron pontiled bottom. This can serve as an example for the Philly name collector, or could be a repair or drinking glass project. Embossed in slug plate: P. DIVINE / PHILADA Color: deep teal green Condition: there is a crack that extends from the break around into the shoulder, but it could still be cut for a tumbler glass if desired.
