G. M. F., Philadelphia - Circa 1850-1855 Pontiled Soda
This was in my collection for over 20 years and I recently culled it out to make some room. It's a decent example of an uncommon Philly soda. GMF stands for George M. Fried. It has an applied blob top and an iron pontil scar.
Embossed: (star on shoulder) / G. M. F. / NO 95 / SOUTH 5Th sT.
Height: 7 5/8"
Color: deep teal green
Condition: structurally perfect with no dings, chips, cracks. Pretty clean too. But it does have some overall wear and scratchiness that could be polished if desired.
