Pontiled Black Glass Mallet, Likely American Blown - Circa 1810-1830

This was dug in a post-Colonial Philly privy in 2021 and is in it's natural, as found state. Loads of character. The iron pontil scar looks to be American, and this was likely blown in a south Jersey or Philly glass house. The top is a crude applied double band.

Unembossed

Height: 9 1/4"  (& about 4" wide)
Color: deep black glass

Condition: perfect structurally with no chips, dings, or cracks, except mentioned for total accuracy is a flea nip under the collar that is barely there. It has overall irridescent privy stain and light scratchiness and wear that could be polish cleaned if desired. But I love the natural old look - loads of character in this one.
