Circa 1860 P. DUROSS Brown Stout - Philadelphia Slug Plate Squat
This is the uncommon Brown Stout" Duross variant. The mold is cut down lower than the regular Duross mold. It has an applied double taper top, smooth-based but early. Embossed: P. DUROSS / 181 CATHN ST / PHILA // BROWN / STOUT Height: 7 1/4" Condition: a recently dug bottle that has only been rinsed out. It's perfect structurally with no chips, bruises, cracks or dings. It does have some very light swirl etch wear and patchy haze that could be polish tumbled if desired - nice strike. Reference Number: Y422 Price: $96 |
