This is a stoneware mead from Philadelphia in the hefty quart size. Circa 1855-1860. The Johnston mead is harder to find than McKinney and Twitchell ones. Nice strike on the debossing.

Condition: gem mint - structurally perfect, clean, just spotty high point wear.
