Circa 1850 Basket Shaped Cologne or Perfume

I've been told that these little basket weave bottles were whiskey nips, but more often perfumes. I'm not sure, but in any case, it's a super nice example here. Crude rolled lip, sharp tubular pontil.

Height: 3 1/8" 

Color: aqua

Condition: Attic mint - structurally perfect with no chips, dings, cracks, etc. Super clean. Just a bit of trace base wear to authenticate.
