Circa 1865-1875 Patent-Shoulder Pittsburgh Whiskey - Cunninghams and Ihmsen
This is one I've never seen - a base embossed whiskey in a mid-size like a pint. I've seen Ihmsen but not this Cunninghams & Ihmsen. It's got that "Civil War era feel".
Embossed:
(shoulder) PATENT // (base) CUNNINGHAMS & IHMSEN PITTS PA
Color
deep reddish amber
Height
11 1/8"
Top
applied double taper
Base
smooth
StructuralCondition
Perfect - no chips, cracks, dings or bruises
Surface Condition
overall light wear, scratchiness and dull stain, like it was in a water hole. That sounds bad, but the bottle has a lovely glowy natural look - could be polish cleaned but that would ruin the character in my view..
