There are only a handful of the early soda types with the short taper tops. They are all scarce and rarely seen for sale. This is a nice looking example that is super crude, with square-patterned glass whittle possibly from a hand carved wooden mold. It's priced down because of some fairly minor lip roughness. The top is applied and the bottom is scar pontiled.
Embossed: IMPROVED / PATENT
Height: 6 7/8"
Color: deep emerald green
Condition: Very clean and displays excellent with just spotty light high point wear. The only issue is that the lip has some shallow roughness in numerous spots, a series of 1/16 - 1/8" fleabite nips. No cracks or chips, just roughess. No big deal for an early soda - they always have something.
Reference Number: SH433
