Here is a heavy metal stand for a small inkwell bottle, plus a Higgins ink bottle. The bottle is machine made, and I estimate the age to be 1910-1925. The stand has a back pedal to lift the lid for dipping ink, and there is also a thumbscrew that turns a spring contraption that extends into the ink bottle. Very unusual. An attic find in great overall condition.
Bottle base is embossed: HIGGINS / DRAWING INK
Stand is embossed: T. A. & SONS
Bottle Height: 2" (and the stand is about 5 1/2" long)
Color: clear (and the stand is black enamel coated cast iron)
Condition: nearest mint - the bottle is perfect structurally, pretty clean and hardly any wear. The stand just has some scuffing to the black enamel is spots like around the base. See pics.
