Dr Langley's Root & Herb

Circa 1860 Dr. Langley's Root & Herb Bitters - Boston

Here's one of the variants for this interesting bitters bottle. This is the taller version, and also the one that has the embossing error with the backwards "99" in the address. The bottle just missed being pontiled, or it's possible that it was iron pontiled and the evidence is unclear. Either way, the bottle has nice character with a crudely applied ring top, micro-bubbles, etc.

Embossed: Dr. LANGLEY'S / ROOT & HERB / BITTERS / 99 (backwards) UNION S.t / BOSTON

Height: 8 5/8"

Condition: excellent - perfect structurally with no chips, dings or cracks. Spotty trace wear. Only issue is some very light milky haze in spots and a ring of contents residue and dust inside over the base.
