G. M. F., Philadelphia - Circa 1850-1855 Pontiled Soda
Here's a really nice looking example of an uncommon Philly soda. GMF stands for George M. Fried. It's usually found in teal green but this one is a deeper emerald-grass green. It has an applied blob top and an iron pontil scar.
Embossed: (star on shoulder) / G. M. F. / NO 95 / SOUTH 5Th sT.
Height: 7 1/2"
Color: deep grass green
Condition: near perfect structurally - just a shallow 1/8" flake off the top of the blob (see pics). Pretty clean and just some spotty scuffs/wear.
Reference Number: GW352
