Circa 1860 New Orleans Squat - J. A. BLAFFER
This is an unusual bottle, a squatty soda or lager with a beveled shoulder and applied double collar top. A very early smooth-based bottle in a loverly color, and very crude with loads of bubbles and glass character. Embossed: J. A. BLAFFER & CO / NEW ORLEANS Height: 6 5/8" Color: orange root beer amber Condition: there is a very early and worn 1/4" flake off the top on the backside and a couple of the bubbles are opaque (but not open).
