Circa 1880 Rainbow Tonic Bitters, New York - Yellow Variant
This is an uncommon attic find - a labeled New York bitters in top condition. The bottle is square with beveled corners and an applied taper top. Circa 1875-1880. On Label: RAINBOW / (nice pic of a rainbow over a harbor with tall ships) / TONIC / BITTERS / IMPROVES THE DIGESTIVE ORGANS / IMPROVES THE APPETITE AND / THE NERVOUS SYSTEM / ... (see pics for more) Height: 9 7/8" Color: olive-hued citron yellow (scarce) Condition: attic mint - the bottle is structurally perfect, perfectly clean, and hardly any wear.
