This heavy stoneware or glazed ironstone egg holder was dug in a pontil era priving that went up to the 1860's. It's sage green colored on the sides and white inside.

Condition: A dug example of an uncommon find. The base and sides are fine, but the rim has numerous shallow chips and roughness. Decent example.
