Circa 1860-1865 Blue Cleveland, Ohio Soda - Jacob Voelker
Here is a splendid example of this midwestern blue soda. It has some nice crudity with a slightly tilting applied blob top, and there are also light swirls of deeper cobalt in the glass. Smooth-based but early. Embossed: JACOB VOELKER / CLEVELAND. O Height: 7 3/4" Color: steely cobalt blue Condition: Nearest mint - very clean and perfect structurally with no chips, dings, cracks, etc. Hardly any wear at all, escept wear the wire bail wrapped the neck.
