T. CECIL - 356 S. Front Street, Philadelphia, Circa 1850-1855 Pontiled Soda

From my own collection that I've been thinning out, here is a double of a pretty tough soda. This one I dug in 2021 and thought I didn't have it. Note that there are two different addresses for this bottle, both very hard to find. It has the earlier long neck soda shape, a rich deep color, and nice neck character, applied blob top. The iron pontil is heavily frosted but no iron residue.

Embossed: T. CECIL / 356 S. FRONT S.t / PHILAD.A // SUPERIOR / C (filled) /MINERAL WATERS

Height:  7 3/4"
Color: deep forest green

Condition: structurally perfect with no chips, dings, cracks or bruises. It is a privy dug bottle that has only been rinsed out. So it has some patchy haze and light overall scratchiness/wear that would polish to near mint if desired. I prefer the natural glowy state. Also, down near the bottom on the side is a 1/4" open surface bubble from manufacturing, not an issue but mentioned for accuracy (see pics).

Reference Number:  3577
