This site was created in 1998 by Danielle Kreeger as my virtual "bottle show table" so that I can continue to sell, trade and buy antique bottles in between shows. It also helps me connect with a much broader audience. Why? Because I'm a collector too and I'm not rich - bottle dealing helps me generate the funds and connections to grow my own collection. Digging is in my blood, but dealing is using my head, ha ha..
If you're new to the hobby, this website isn't the best place to learn about antique bottles. There are so many terrific sources of top notch, heavily researched information on the web. A first place to start is the Federation's webpage, the ABGC magazine, and search up UTube channels and Facebook groups. I added some of my favorite links here.
My focus for this site is buying/selling quality hand blown bottles that are priced within the reach of most collectors. The high rollers sometimes find a bottle here, but I don't try to compete with the auction houses. I do occasionally sell on eBay when I have too much volume. If you have bottles to sell, see below or for more details click here.
Bottles that I have for sale are grouped by category on the left or in the nav bar at the top. On the right are some group snapshots of bottles "on deck" that I intend to list as soon as possible. Every antique bottle is special and gets its own webpage! So it takes me some time to roll them out. It's also getting harder to keep this site stocked because prices keep going up, collections are drying up, and digging is more miss than hit. It's great to see the hobby staying strong though.
What's my background? I started digging and collecting antique bottles in 1969 when I lived on a PA farm and dug dumps. It was momentous when I got my driver's license and was able to start attending bottle shows, especially the York and Baltimore shows. Ever since I was a kid I loved the shape and history of blob-top sodas and beers, and they're still my favorites after more than 50 years. My main focus is pontiled sodas, beers and mineral waters from the Philadelphia area, plus funky colors, shapes and oddities from elsewhere.
I'm a lifelong digger and I've had the honor of digging with some of the best. I've dug, water-searched and metal detected from coast to coast, in Europe, and the Carribean. My "privy journal" now has more than 800 entries! I'm also a lifelong surfer and an ecologist in my day. Whether for work or play, I'm in my element when I'm outdoors in the water or mud.
