This site was created in 1998 and is maintained by Danielle Kreeger for the purpose of selling, trading and buying early American utilitarian glassware. You'll find a list of items for sale, a link to any current auctions I have on Ebay (privygal), and a description of the types of bottles I buy.
Thanks for visiting my site and please check back for updates. Also, send any pertinent links.
New Bottles to be uploaded for sale soon:
Sellers - Please contact me if you have bottles to sell, whether just a few or a large collection. Simply text group pics to my cell, 610-329-0055.
I strive to reply to everyone, but often get overwhelmed with dozens of messages every day for people trying to sell newer common bottles. If I don't get back to you, it means I don't see anything of interest. I'm only interested in pre-1880 bottles. Here are examples of things that I do NOT buy:
- No machine made
- No screw top bottles
- No milk bottles
- No modern sodas like Pepsi, Coke, etc.
- No unembossed bottles (unless pontiled)
I don't mean to be a "bottle snob," and many of these bottles are collectible. They're just not my thing.
If you have hand blown embossed bottles, feel free to send pictures of singles or groups, either to my email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or text to my phone (610-329-0055).
Construction Crews: Please contact me if you have finds from work sites to sell. Simply text pix to my phone:
Also, if you have active work sites in the Philly area, let me know if you need expert help finishing pits. I have safely dug 500 privies up to 38 feet deep and have the equipment.
Property Owners: If you have an older house (pre-1890) and would like help finding and excavating the privy, drop me a line. I can either advise or coordinate a dig. Although many privies were routinely dipped clean, you never know what you'll find. Yards are always left cleaner than before.
